I recently stayed at this hotel in Kyoto, and overall, I had a fantastic experience. First of all, the room size was excellent, much more spacious than I had expected for Japan. It was incredibly comfortable and gave me plenty of space to relax after a long day of exploring the city. The cleanliness of the room was top-notch, and the entire hotel had a nice, quiet atmosphere with a pleasant, fresh scent throughout, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were another highlight of my stay. They were extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They spoke good English and were always ready to help with any questions or needs. They truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my stay. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was important for me since I needed to stay connected for some work during my trip. I never had any issues with the connection dropping, which can sometimes be a problem in hotels, but not here! The location of the hotel was also very convenient. It’s close to many restaurants and convenience stores, which made grabbing a quick meal or snack super easy. Additionally, the hotel is not far from a metro station, making it a great base for exploring the rest of Kyoto. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a fantastic place to stay in Kyoto, offering comfort, convenience, and excellent service. Just be aware of the smoking situation if that’s something important to you.

Really nice designed hotel. The rooms were a good size, although probably could only fit 1 big suitcase. The bathroom was well designed for the space and I loved that the hotel give you pjs. We were provided a free welcome drink which was a matcha and delicious little dessert and that was quite special to start off our experience in Kyoto because it felt really authentic. The location of this hotel is second to none, only 5 minutes walk down the road to the Nishiki Market which has amazing food options and just a fun atmosphere. We also had the best ramen of our life at a restaurant around the corner of the hotel which we stumbled on and didn't have a booking. It's about a 20 minute walk through the main shops to the Gion District so it's a great spot if you like walking and wondering. Also great to have the cafe in the building if you're someone that wants a real espresso coffee to start the day and before everything else in Japan opens at 11am. 7/11 and all convenience stores are also within a 2 minute walk. I also loved that the hotel room had usb charging points so you had an extra option without having to use an adapter.

The room was wonderful with great inclusions like a super comfy king bed, a Bluetooth speaker and the quality bathroom amenities. It was quiet too, I had 204 which was a corner room and lots of natural light. The AC / heater worked really well. The hand basin / vanity is in the room and the shower / toilet is a small cupboard style set up, but the shower itself very large and had both handheld has rainwater options. The great thing was a coffee shop downstairs with lovely food and real coffee plus other interesting drinks such a charcoal latte. And they offer Prana Chai from Melbourne! That was a surprise! Staff all very friendly and helpful. There’s also. Guest lounge / bar on the ground floor which offers books and games. It was a nice place to relax on the last day after checkout (they will hold bags too) before leaving for the airport.

The hotel is located just around the corner from Nishiki Market and a 20-25 minute walk to the Gion District. The decor is gorgeous and rooms of reasonable size. I really enjoyed the breakfast plate that was part of our room rate and served in the cafe next door. It changes ever so slightly each day but expect, salad, eggs, meat, toast, soup, yogurt and a drink of your choice. They accommodated my child who is a picky eater. They serve Bonsoy milk and the coffee was excellent. There’s a coin laundry located about a 10 minute was away.

It has a lovely atmosphere and a great cafe next door for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner if you choose to. The food was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced. The coffee was great (coming from a Melbourne coffee snob).Staff were helpful and stocks of amenities etc were replenished generously. There is an additional lounge with snacks and teas. We had a very nice stay with quaint shops and cafes up and down the surrounding narrow streets which added to the interest. Our room was quiet and comfortable.
